How to analyze an ad
Analyzing an ad is not just recreating the video. It's breaking down 6 items to understand WHY it converts.

The hook (first 3 seconds)
Which promise, question, or visual shock grabs the eye?
The marketing angle
Benefit, fear, desire, social status? Which psychological lever is activated?
The format
UGC, motion design, product demo, customer testimonial?
The 6 items to break down
For each winning ad, ask yourself these questions in order.
1. The hook (first 3 seconds)
Which promise, question, or visual shock grabs the eye?
2. The marketing angle
Benefit, fear, desire, social status? Which psychological lever is activated?
3. The format
UGC, motion design, product demo, customer testimonial?
4. The CTA
'Buy now', 'Learn more', 'Take advantage of the offer' — each CTA targets a different step.
5. Social proof
Testimonials, stars, number of customers displayed?
6. The offer
Crossed-out price, free shipping, 30-day guarantee, promo code?
Note everything in a sheet
Create an analysis sheet in Notion or Excel. After 30 analyzed ads, you will identify recurring patterns = the winning formula in your niche.
